Caribbean Media Partners (CMP) was launched in 2012 as a network of Caribbean media professionals with the common belief that we can develop a strong Caribbean brand through 'One Sea, One Voice, One Caribbean'. There is a continued need to bundle our strengths of 'the culturally most diversified Region in the World', which can only be achieved through comprehensive and effective communication across any political divide and any language borders.
CMP operates as a division of Media Partners International (MPI), founded in 2002 by Jo Spalburg, managing director, who worked for many years as regional marketing director of the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) and the Caribbean Media Corporation (CMC), incorporating the Caribbean Broadcasting Union (CBU) and the Caribbean News Agency (CANA). He also worked for the Caribbean Hotel (and Tourism) Association as marketing representative.
